Each multi-day event has its own policy. Please review the description in your confirmation email carefully to see if the stipend covers one day or multiple days. While two-day stipends may be available, you must contact the event's point of contact (a Tourney Direct RAM or the event operator) to confirm. If you are not explicitly confirmed for a two-day stipend, you will not receive double the stipend for attending both days.
No, unfortunately not. All coaches must check in by scanning the QR code at the event. We send multiple reminders during the event to ensure coaches check in. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us during the event so we can assist you remotely. Stipend budgets conclude at the end of the event and cannot be paid retroactively.
Potentially, yes. To request a transfer, please email info@tourneydirect.com with the event details and the coach you wish to transfer the stipend to. Note that some stipend positions are dependent on specific roles, so the stipend amount may vary.
Each event operator sets their own policies. We encourage you to reach out to the event operator to ask if this is possible. Generally, most event operators prefer that if you are receiving a stipend to recruit or coach, you should not divide your attention by also coaching a club team.
Just as companies have salary ranges based on education, experience, location, and skill sets, so do events. Some events offer flat stipends, but most have a range based on position, program, years of experience, travel costs, responsibilities at the event, and more.
There are several reasons you might be put on the standby list: another coach from your program may already be confirmed, stipend positions may be filled, the event may want a mix of divisions and conferences, or your no-show/cancellation rate may be too high.
Some events are very popular and can fill up within minutes. While many events used to operate on a first come, first serve basis, the landscape has changed. Events now align their staffing needs with the preferences of attending players and teams.
Typically, no. Most event operators provide only one stipend per program, though policies can vary by event.
Each event operator sets their own payment schedule. We post a projected timeline on the event details page to help with your planning. You can find this information in the “Event Details” box under the “Stipend Payment” section.
Some event stipend opportunities are managed by Tourney Direct, while others are managed by the event operator. Refer to the stipend page for the point of contact for each event.
