Stipend Payment Timelines
Your confirmed stipend opportunity details, including payment method and timelines, can be found on the event details page.
- If the event uses TD Pay, the page will include an estimated stipend payment timeline.
- Event operators determine the payment method and timeline, and Tourney Direct provides an estimated payout date once shared.
When your payment is sent by the event operator, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and your stipend status in the portal will update to “paid.” You can also track your payment progress at any time by logging into the Tourney Direct stipend portal, selecting the "My Payments" tab, and clicking the "view account" button.
Payment Processing Timelines
- First-Time Payments: Can take up to 5 business days to process and reach your designated account.
- Subsequent Payments: Typically processed and received within 2 business days.
Why Is My Stipend Payment Not Instantly Available?
Funds may take up to 48 hours to appear in your account due to processing times required by each financial institution. While the transfer itself is nearly instantaneous, delays can occur due to factors such as account verification, bank processing schedules, and holidays.
To track the status of your payment, log into the Tourney Direct portal, navigate to the My Payments tab, and click on the View Account button. This will allow you to monitor the progress of your transfer as it moves through the process over the next day or two.
Please note that processing times vary by financial institution. Do not compare your timeline to other staff members, as each bank has its own policies and procedures that are outside of Tourney Direct’s control resulting in expected timeline variability.
Payment Delays
While uncommon, stipend payments may occasionally be delayed due to:

Incorrect or Expired Payment Information:
- If your bank account or credit card details were entered incorrectly or have expired, you’ll receive an email from Tourney Direct asking you to update your payment method. Once corrected, your stipend payment will be triggered to resend.

Restricted Payment Accounts:
- If your payment account is missing critical information, requires updates, or needs additional details for compliance, both Stripe and Tourney Direct will notify you via email with instructions to resolve the issue. Once your account is updated and in good standing, payment processing will resume.
