How to Sync Your Game Assignments to Your Calendar
Keeping track of your assignments just got easier.
You can subscribe once to your personal Assignment Calendar and your games will automatically stay updated in your calendar app — including changes and cancellations.
What This Does
When you subscribe:
-
All assigned games appear in your calendar
-
If a game time changes, your calendar updates automatically
-
If an assignment is removed, it disappears from your calendar
-
You’ll receive a reminder before each game
You only need to subscribe once.
Important
This is a live subscription, not a one-time download.
That means:
-
You do NOT need to re-add games each weekend
-
Updates happen automatically

When Will My Calendar Update?
-
Apple Calendar: Usually within minutes
-
Google Calendar: Can take up to 12–24 hours
-
Outlook: Varies
If a change doesn’t appear immediately, it will update automatically once your calendar refreshes.
Will I Get Reminders?
Yes.
Each game includes a reminder 15 minutes before the start time.
You can adjust reminder settings inside your calendar app if needed.
If You Change Devices
If you switch phones or computers:
-
You may need to subscribe again on the new device
-
You do NOT need to generate a new link
If Something Looks Wrong
Here are common situations:
“The wrong time is showing.”
Make sure:
-
Your device timezone is correct
-
You are not viewing the calendar in a different timezone
Game times automatically adjust to your local timezone.
“A game I rejected is still on my calendar.”
Your calendar may not have refreshed yet.
Wait for the next refresh cycle or manually refresh your subscribed calendars.
“I accidentally downloaded a file.”
If you downloaded a .ics file instead of subscribing:
-
Open your calendar app
-
Look for “Add calendar by URL” or “Subscribe”
-
Use the original link from the portal
Do not import the file manually — importing will not auto-update.
“I want to stop syncing.”
In your calendar app:
-
Find the subscribed Tourney Direct calendar
-
Delete or unsubscribe from it
You can resubscribe anytime from the portal.
🧠 Good to Know
-
You only need to subscribe once.
-
Assignments update automatically.
-
If you don’t see a game yet, it means you haven’t been assigned.
-
If a game disappears, it was removed or reassigned.
Is This Secure?
Yes.
Your calendar link is private and tied specifically to your account.
Only you can access your assignment feed.
Why This Is Helpful
Instead of:
-
Checking emails
-
Manually adding games
-
Updating times yourself
Your calendar does the work for you.
